It suddenly started raining

as we ran up to the barn

My arms were brushing yours

as I ran my longest yard

We coupled in on the floor

the cold pushed us together

I pulled my arms around you

thanking the teeming weather

My day was a planned affair

I had you since the morning

we walked to solitary places

before it started pouring

You talked about the sun

and all the other grace

I had known just one

the rain still pelted hard
